Set Design - Honda Great Journey
Set design and construction for Honda concept car commercial.
Honda Great Journey is a short film envisaged by Morihiro Harano and directed by Petr Krejcí. It follows seven Honda concept cars on a journey across the world.
The cars were designed by industrial design agency Map Project Office. I worked with the Map team on creating the landscapes for their vehicles.
There was a tight schedule and limited space so we designed the scenes as series of elements that could be quickly composed, adjusted and struck down as needed.
Petr, the film director, had a really clear vision for the sets. It was very enjoyable getting the textures and details right and then seeing them brought to life with incredible lighting and cinematography.
