3D postcards developed for Year of Irish Design 2015. Built using a unique paper based 3d printing process developed by Irish company MCor.

The brief, set by design and craft brand Makers & Brothers, was to design a souvenir to promote Irish design and industry that also reflected local landscape and culture.

The souvenir builds on the format of the John Hinde postcard with its vivid colours and carefully choreographed scenes.

The Mcor 3D Printer can print in high resolution colour using standard A4 paper. Each Postcard has an element in vertical relief up to approximately 5mm in height.

Thanks to the IDEA centre at Southwest College, Omagh for prototyping assistance.
